Silence and The Spear

Silence.  I have been living in silence for the last couple months of my life.  Quiet moments.  Time to myself.  Time by myself.  Time to think.  Time to pray.  Time to reflect.

Yes I’ve been out of the house.  People have seen me.  I’ve laughed and danced and sang.  I been ever present, yet quietly sitting in my mind in my corner.

Then today my silence was cracked wide open.  I look up and there is a spear heading straight for my bubble of silence.  *sigh*  Now what?

I lift my eyes to the mountains –
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip –
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you –
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm-
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

  1. Girl!!! Jesus must've told you to share that with me today! I have had my "silence" interupted as well this week and I needed to hear that. I've also been re-reading Psalms 27. Thanks for sharing.
