Personally Striving

I Have to Choose

As I read this book to my son this morning, I am reminded that Jesus is truly always with me.  This simply sweet book, sung to the tune of Jingle Bells, rung my spiritual bell.

Am I going to choose to believe and trust this? Of course I know He is, but sometimes I get stuck in my head, stuck in my “problems”.  God has brought me through so much crap that there is no question in my mind that he will bring me through this current storm.

As I’m thinking this I remember a great song.
Cling to the Call by John Waller.  I absolutely love this song.  It is from the album “While I’m Waiting”.  The messages in the music are simple yet poignant. This particular song reminds us not to take our eyes off Christ.  No matter the storm and the crashing waves, we must cling to the call of Christ – trust Him.  Choose to trust.

Always Striving,

Joce

  1. Joce, I love you and I thank you for this message today. My devotionals for the last two days have been "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God" John 11:40. I have often found myself caught up in my own problems and I forget to run to God. God has made us a promise to be with us through storms and to keep us, but we have to first believe and trust Him. It's a great reminder that I am not alone in this struggle and it also helps remind me that we have to make the choice to run to God.
