King Solomon is definitely dropping knowledge in Proverbs 2. As I read each verse, all I could do was shake my head yes. God is faithful and keeps His promises.
King Solomon advises honoring God, heeding wisdom, and diligently seeking insight. God will honor your search for Him . He will impart wisdom upon your mind and understanding upon your heart. This will keep you out of trouble, away from those who would tempt you into trouble, and on a straight path. Additionally, you will be happy and content because you’re focused on growth in your knowledge of who Christ is and your ability to discern.
Reading this chapter brought three other verses to the forefront of my mind.
This is ’s Word on the subject: “As soon as Babylon’s seventy years are up and not a day before, I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29:10-11 MSG
Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete. 2 Corinthians 1:20 -22 MSG
